Winter Camp from Luoyang No.2 F.L.S.

 During Winter vacation February, 2015, a group of 25 students from Luoyang No.2 Foreign Language School led by two English teachers went to our sister city, La Crosse, WI. US. They stayed in their host families for two weeks and went to school together with their host students. They experienced different culture shocks and American customs. They also learned more about American living habits. Of course, their spoken English was greatly improved as well while communicating with their host families and the local students.
   The kids were grouped into four and attended different classes in Central High School, Lincoln Middle School, Logan Middle School and Logan High School. They explored every day for the differences between China and US. It will definitely broaden their horizons not only in English learning but also in other aspects.  
The host families were just so generous to our students. They opened the doors to embrace our kids. All of our students are feeling very grateful to their host families and host students. They were just like one family. Our students also set a standing invitation to all our American friends in La Crosse.
   During their short stay there, they went to Madison, the capital city of WI, and met the vice governor. The students felt very curious about the governor’s work and chatted with each other for a short while. In the following days, they visited UWL, the local Police Station，the library, the GMCA and the Gunderson Clinic Hospital. After La Crosse, the students went to LA and stayed there for a week.      They had a lot of fun in Disneyland, Universal Studio and the Sea World.
  It was hard to say goodbye to the hosts. The wonderful experience will surely strength the friendship and build a strong bridge between the both sides. I studied in Logan High School for two weeks as an exchange student .I will never forget the days in Logan.
The students there were very friendly. The teachers were very understanding and knowledgeable. They helped me a lot .And they were always there to wait to help us.
The schools there are different from ours in China. In America, students go around the school and have different lessons, the teachers do not move.
The lessons were quite interesting, most of the students enjoyed them there.
The host family was really kind, they helped me a lot. They looked after me in those two weeks. They helped me learn lots of knowledge about the U.S.
I also really enjoy my time in California. We stayed there for almost five days.
In Los Angeles, we went to the Seaworld、Disneyland、Outlets and Universal Studios.
   
I like the Seaworld best. In the Seaworld, The Orcinus orcas show was my favorite. It was beautiful and really quite exciting! The Orcinus orcas were very cute and clever. They made us happy and relax.
   
I really enjoyed my trip in America.  
    
I feel really happy that I can join the trip and get the chance to an exchange student.
